Application Support Engineer

  • handling support requests for internal business users, problem-solving, and troubleshooting,
  • database querying, and configuration,
  • contribute to the development of business reporting,
  • work on improvements to systems, specifically focusing on LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) and internal tools,
  • collaborating with business to understand their requirements and cover those proactively,
  • working close with developers on bug fixes and feature development.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar position - preferred experience with ERP- like software,
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, and any prior programming experience would be beneficial,
  • experience with Microsoft SQL queries and scripting is essential,
  • excellent communication skills to effectively discuss business problems and issues,
  • strong problem-solving abilities,
  • a passion for technology.

Beneficial skills include:

  • experience with SSRS or Crystal Reports,
  • familiarity with BI platforms such as Qlikview or Power BI,
  • scripting experience in VB6, VBA, or C#.net,
  • experience with Visual Basic development would also be a plus.
