The Excellerate Apprentice I is responsible for installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial and industrial settings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or GED and enrollment in Electrical Apprenticeship-Level 1 (if applicable)

Travel: 0-25%

Work Schedule: Between the hours of 5 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install maintain, and provide basic troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Installs electrical raceways and wire, lighting, controls, machinery, and electrical distribution equipment under the supervision of an experienced Journeymen Electrician.
  • Demonstrates appropriate skills of a First Year Apprentice.
  • Installs and Bends conduit using manual. Mechanical, and hydraulic benders.
  • Performs Wire and Cable Pulls.
  • Wiring – Stripping, splice two wires, install switch and receptacle, Draw 3 switches to control one light.
  • Knowledge of different types of anchors and supports and how to properly install.
  • Competent with a tape measure and level.
  • Knowledge of different sizes of conductors and phase colors of voltages.
  • Assists with material handling duties on the jobsite.
  • Provides technical assistance to other apprentices as needed.
  • Maintains compliance with company policies.
  • Maintains compliance with all OSHA, Company, and customer-specific safety requirements.
  • Cleans and maintains tools, test equipment, and jobsite.
  • Actively participates in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
