Role Description

This role will be responsible in managing technical aspects of smaller and/or less complex tasks or components of larger tasks, meeting financial, quality, time frame and health and safety objectives. Architect I should manage the delivery of elements of larger projects in accordance with Arcadis management systems to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets. Typically assigned to provide a controlling technical role on medium size and/or moderately complex tasks in single discipline. Coordinates and manages teams of architects and BIM modelers. This role works to ensure maximum internal stakeholder satisfaction, championing care and proactively working with internal stakeholders.

This opportunity will require working alongside senior technical leaders and BIM experts. This position will provide an excellent opportunity to grow your skills; with guidance, you will be working on both Life Sciences and Semiconductor projects that are the core expertise of APM group. Your involvement will range from conceptual, basis of design, design development, IFC and to contract administration.

Role Accountabilities

  • Perform role in accordance with Arcadis behavioral framework
  • Take responsibility for own safety and understand Arcadis Health and Safety Principles
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure the integrity of project interfaces
  • Prepare documentation and reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with Arcadis requirements and relevant national standards and codes of practice.
  • Plan assigned project work and allocate work to ensure timely delivery and effective utilization of resources.
  • Monitor the performance of team members, identifying and ensuring any issues are resolved.
  • Develop effective working relationships with the Task Manager and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication of progress, changes and the resolution of issues.
  • Coach, guide and provide technical advice to junior team members, to support them in their delivery of the project and in their professional development.
  • Prepare BIM models as per project requirements.
  • Develop working drawings for all projects mainly using Revit with some AutoCAD
  • You will work closely with the GEC project Architect team lead and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure the integrity of project interfaces.
  • Responsible coordinating and communication within the production team
  • Review own work to ensure that it meets specified standards before checking by others.
  • Keeping up to date on construction practices, products, codes and technology

Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Architect with demonstrable experience on wide range of complex projects at different stages.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience architecture design works
  • Experience in life sciences and semiconductor project is an advantage
  • Proficient in architectural design, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
  • Knowledgeable in clash detection is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Familiar with US and EU codes is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to contribute to the team’s digital initiative and automation of processes
  • Relevant exposure to projects that involved multi-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Task oriented – able to switch between tasks and projects easily.
