Aromatics Trader
Manage and optimize the book portfolio:
- Negotiate and conclude spot and term contracts within the allocated trading limits and delegated authorities.
- Manage marketing plan and facilitate RC (Company) assets to have better netbacks.
- Manage the price exposure of the book and take hedging decisions - Identify and implement arbitrage opportunities.
- Participate actively to the desk trading strategy.
- Identify and conclude multi-year contracts with end consumers and producers.
- Provide market expertise, information and support to other Company entities (E&P, RC and MS).
- Develop and maintain relations with market counterparties (producers, importers, oil majors, international traders and ship owners).
Objectives
- Accountable for the book contribution to the Aromatics desk P&L and the profitable growth of the portfolio.
- Responsible for the respect of contractual obligations relevant to its activity and trades.
- Comply with delegated Trading limits and Company procedures (HSE, Vetting,…).
- Operates to the highest standards of compliance, safety, ethics and business excellence.
Profile Requirements
- University educated to Master’s level in Engineering, Finance or Business Administration.
- In-depth understanding of energy markets and commodity trading.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Autonomy and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and relationship skills, good team spirit and high standard of business integrity.
- At least 3-5 years experience as middle officer, product operator or market analyst in the energy markets.
- Fluent in English and another language.
