Art Director (World of Tanks Console)
Job Overview
We are looking for an Art Director to join Wargaming and be a part of the product team working on World of Tanks Console. The Art Director's role combines high-level creative vision with strategic leadership. You will drive a team of highly professional artists, define the visual identity of the game, and ensure that every feature on console platforms reflects a cohesive and premium look and feel. As a subject matter expert, you will work in close collaboration with game teams to identify, prototype, and implement visual solutions that elevate player experience.

What will you do?

Provide artistic leadership: Drive the overall vision of the project and ensure all artistic output aligns with the established style.

Strategic Impact: Collaborate with Creative Directors and Product Managers to define the long-term visual strategy for WoT Console, ensuring art assets directly contribute to player engagement and monetization goals.

Ensure art production quality and consistency: Maintain high standards across in-house teams and external contractors by establishing clear visual guidelines, review processes, and feedback loops.

Design and maintain visual stylistics: Create and conduct the art vision of the game features.

Act as a mentor: Guide team members to foster professional growth, focusing on creative excellence and artistic development.

Facilitate knowledge transfer: Collaborate with the production team to integrate high-quality visual solutions into the game development pipeline.
What are we looking for?

3+ years of experience as an Art Lead or Art Director in the game industry (a portfolio demonstrating released projects is a must).

Expertise in directing key art disciplines: art: concepts, environments, characters, vehicles, lighting, UI/UX, VFX, animation.

Proven ability to design and maintain visual stylistics across a variety of artistic directions.

Strong sense of scene composition, color, and lighting, with a deep understanding of how visuals impact gameplay.

Solid understanding of game development principles and modern pipelines.

Professional proficiency in English.
What additional skills will help you stand out?

Experience in UI/UX direction.

Proven track record in managing and leading diverse art teams.

Basic understanding of programming/scripting to bridge the gap between art and tech.

The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 5100 monthly gross.
