Article Master Data (AMD) Analyst

Te Tūranga – About the role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative team member to join our Merchandise Operations team as an Article Master Data (AMD) Analyst.
In this role, you’ll work closely with Category, AMD, Supply Chain, and IT teams to improve the quality and accuracy of our Article Master Data. You’ll be the central point of contact for resolving complex queries from across the Foodstuffs network, (including stores), and will play a key role in driving continuous improvement through root cause analysis and process refinement.
Key focus areas will be to:
- Collaborate with the Category team to create, check, and update article information to support seamless store and supply chain operations.
- Provide timely support to stores and suppliers, managing corrections and updates while juggling multiple priorities.
- Gain exposure to article, vendor, purchasing, retail pricing, and margin processes—building a strong foundation for future roles.
- Follow and improve Data Management processes to ensure consistency and simplicity.
- Liaise with stakeholders across FSSI, IT, replenishment, finance, and retail to deliver holistic solutions.
- Maintain data alignment across multiple systems and channels (e.g. SAP, Online, POS, Warehouse Management).
- Act as a key link between Merchandise and member stores, ensuring clear and accurate communication.

You’re a systems-savvy problem solver with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for data accuracy. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working collaboratively to improve processes.
You’ll also bring:
- Experience in a master data or analytical role, ideally within a retail environment.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems such as SAP and/or JDE.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity and quality.
- Excellent organisational skills and a logical approach to completing tasks on time.
- Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement, and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
- Experience working with large datasets and structured processes.
- A proactive approach to managing internal and external relationships.
- A pragmatic mindset and a drive to continuously improve how we work.
