Assembler
Overview/General Description
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, cleaning, and configuring electronic devices using existing and learned knowledge and skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assemble and clean a wide array of incoming equipment (e.g., media players).
- Assemble electrical or electronic systems and install components, units, and sub-assemblies using soldering tools.
- Complete documentation on repairs.
- Load proprietary software and/or store configurations on various products.
- Connect, power-up, test, and label equipment.
- Maintain a clean work area/workstation.
- Follow departmental procedures.
- Cooperate and communicate with team members and departmental staff to meet business goals.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including adhering to scheduling and attendance requirements.
- Perform other duties as requested or required by business conditions.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Previous electronic repair experience on surface mount assemblies preferred.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
- Ability to operate computer systems.
- Ability to work independently to aid in the achievement of department goals.
- A positive demeanor and a responsible work ethic.
Working Environment
Workspace with desk, phone, modem, computer/laptop with network connections. You will work from Xenial’s office in Lansdale, PA, 5 days per week.
Physical Conditions
- Must be able to stand and walk, at minimum, 50% of the time except when on breaks or when taking a meal period.
- Lifting, up to 50lbs, not to exceed more than 10% of positions essential functions.
- The person in this position needs to be able to stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.
- Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc. This includes repetitive movement of hands and fingers – writing and/or typing.
