Job Description
Assembler I is responsible for performing a variety of entry-level assembly tasks, including building subassemblies and integrating mechanical and electrical components into finished products. This role uses hand tools and follows standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical and electrical subassemblies using hand and power tools in accordance with work instructions and SOPs
Integrate components into larger assemblies, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality
Follow detailed assembly drawings, diagrams, and written instructions
Perform basic in-process inspections to verify quality and identify defects
Support testing and basic troubleshooting of assemblies as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
Accurately complete production documentation and track work performed
Communicate issues, material shortages, or defects to Team Lead or Supervisor in a timely manner
Participate in continuous improvement efforts and support team-based problem solving
Rotate between workstations and tasks based on production needs
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
0–1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools
Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions and assembly drawings
Basic math skills and ability to perform simple calculations
Effective communication skills with team members and leadership
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
Frequent use of hands for tool operation and component assembly
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
May be required to bend, stoop, or reach during assembly tasks
Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed
Regular, reliable attendance is required
