Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Manager, the Assembler is responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and standard work instructions. This role ensures products are built safely, accurately, and efficiently to meet quality and delivery requirements.

This is an onsite position at our Trojan Technologies facility in Grand Rapids, MI.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift. Overtime or Weekends may be required.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Follows all applicable safety procedures and practices safe work habits.

  • Performs mechanical and electrical parts assembly activities as outlined in Standard Work Documents.

  • Reads and interprets work instructions, labelling requirements, engineering drawings, and part/BOM specifications.

  • Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.

  • Identifies non-conforming components with intense focus on quality and compliance.

  • Initiates continuous improvement activities in own area and supports continuous improvement activities of all
    employees.

  • Performs other job activities as required.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High /School Diploma or equivalent

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience

It would be an asset if you have:

  • Aptitude to assemble complex equipment with a strong working knowledge of hand tools

  • A strong commitment to attendance and productivity

  • Communication and Interpersonal skills

Physical Demands

  • Routinely required to walk, stand, sit, step up or climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, squat/crouch, turn/twist, crawl, talk, hear, and smell Ability to use hands and fingers to reach, grip, hold, feel or operate objects/equipment, computer keyboards and tablets​

  • Routinely required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds without assistance

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $19.00 - $19.50 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
