Assembly Technician

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling complex electro-mechanical systems according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and company standards. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with tools and components in a cleanroom or lab environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and optical components into complete systems or sub-systems
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
  • Perform wiring, soldering, and mechanical fastening
  • Use hand tools, measurement devices, and assembly fixtures safely and effectively
  • Meet daily production targets
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform minor repairs
  • Monitor production process, identity and report any quality deviations or malfunctions immediately.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications
  • Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to resolve issues and implement improvements
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
  • Follow safety protocols and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Higher Nitec to Diploma or equivalent experience (IPC, OSHA, SMTA cert preferred)
  • Fresh Graduates are welcomed
  • Experience with tools, soldering, and mechanical assembly
  • Ability to read technical documentation in English
  • High attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Able to see/identify small components on close-up, clearly
