Assembly Technician
Location: San Carlos, CA
We’re building Portals — custom communication pods deployed in libraries and public spaces to expand access to essential digital services. These private, technology-enabled spaces allow people in underserved communities to attend telehealth appointments, take exams, access government services, and connect securely online when they otherwise wouldn’t have a safe or reliable environment.
Every Portal we assemble becomes part of real community infrastructure. Build quality, reliability, and attention to detail directly impact the people relying on these spaces every day.
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Assembly Technician to support the full build cycle.
This is not a single-station production-line job. You’ll work across every stage of assembly — from receiving components to building, wiring, finishing, and preparing units for shipment.
You should be comfortable working with your hands, following structured build processes, and producing consistent, high-quality work at production volume.
About your role at Ready ⚡️

Assemble enclosure structures and mechanical components
Measure, drill, cut, and modify parts for custom fitment

A bit about you 🥇
Experience in AV installation, electromechanical assembly, hardware build, or similar hands-on technical work

Familiarity with wiring connectors, cable routing, and terminations
Ability to perform incoming QC and identify defects or inconsistencies
Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, precise work
Ability to follow documented build procedures consistently
Comfort working in a production-paced environment
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new processes
Builder mindset - you’d rather build it right than fix it twice
