About the Role<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

We are seeking a qualified Asset\nIntegrity Engineer to join our Perth team based in Bibra Lake. In this role you\nwill design, coordinate, and perform on\-site and laboratory testing activities\nencompassing NDT, metallurgical analysis, and materials evaluation to ensure\nasset integrity and compliance with applicable codes and standards. You will\nwork within a multidisciplinary team, liaise directly with clients to define\ntest scopes, contribute to technical reporting, and provide guidance to junior\nstaff \u2014 making this an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to grow\nwithin a NATA\-accredited, nationally recognised organisation.

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Design and coordinate on\-site and laboratory testing\nactivities in line with client and NATA requirements.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Perform mechanical and metallurgical tests, including\nspecimen preparation (cutting, machining, grinding, polishing, etching) in\naccordance with LMATS procedures and relevant standards.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Select appropriate test methods, organise required\nequipment and record sheets, and define the limitations of each test method.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Manage and maintain laboratory testing equipment,\nincluding calibration and regular maintenance.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Conduct site inspections \u2014 including fabrication,\nthird\-party, and pressure vessel inspections \u2014 and liaise with clients to\ndefine test scopes.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Analyse failure data, perform root cause\ninvestigations, and provide technical recommendations to clients.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Interpret and evaluate test results against applicable\ncodes, standards, and specifications.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Prepare and submit detailed technical reports\ndocumenting testing outcomes; check reports for accuracy prior to submission.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Supervise engineering and technical staff during\nproject execution and guide trainees in performing tests in accordance with\nNATA requirements.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with\nrelevant standards, safety requirements, and LMATS quality management systems.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Assist management with preparation of quotations,\ntenders, and contracts.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Pursue continuous professional development and\ncontribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation.

Skills<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Strong understanding of material properties and\nmechanical, metallurgical, and electronic principles.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Knowledge of advanced and conventional NDT techniques \u2014\nincluding PAUT, TOFD, ECA, LRUT, UT, MT, PT, and RT \u2014 and their application to\nasset integrity assessment.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Proficiency in quality and safety management systems\naligned with regulatory standards and NATA accreditation requirements.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Ability to apply basic metallurgical principles to plan\nwork activities and translate codes, standards, and specifications into\npractical work instructions.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Familiarity with asset lifecycle management, corrosion\nmechanisms, root cause analysis, and fitness\-for\-purpose assessment.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Capable of managing technical documentation,\ncalibration records, and detailed engineering reports.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Effective verbal and written communication skills for\nclient liaison, team collaboration, and report preparation.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Strong computer literacy and time management skills\nwith an ability to maintain accuracy across multiple concurrent projects.

Experience<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Minimum 1 year of hands\-on experience in\nNon\-Destructive Testing, materials engineering, or a closely related field.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Experience performing metallurgical and/or mechanical\ntests in a laboratory environment, preferably NATA\-accredited.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Experience in third\-party inspection, fabrication\ninspection, or pressure vessel inspection.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Demonstrated ability to interpret test results and\nproduce accurate technical reports.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Willingness to travel to client sites across regional\nand interstate locations as required.

Qualifications<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials\nEngineering, Metallurgy, or a closely related discipline.
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>AINDT certifications (UT, MT, RT, PT Level 2 ISO 9712)\nare highly regarded; candidates with the ability to obtain certification will\nalso be considered.

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Manual C\-Class driver's licence (essential for travel\nto client sites).
