Asset Manager - Edwards AFB

PCSI is looking for an Asset Manager on our upcoming Materiel Management Operations contract on Edwards Air Force Base. The Asset Manager supports the Contract Manager in overseeing contract operations, ensuring compliance, service excellence, and effective warehouse operations. This role helps lead and develop employees, maintain strong customer relationships, support audits and operational requirements, and ensure the resources, processes, and documentation needed for successful contract performance are in place.

This position is on-base on Edwards AFB. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm, with some flexibility to support weekends and other shifts as needed.

Benefits Include:

  • Base pay of $111,000-$116,000 depending upon experience.
  • Annual bonus of up to 6%
  • 21 days of PTO per year, in addition to all federal holidays.

What You'll Do as Asset Manager:

Leadership & Team Management
  • Oversee staff and warehouse operations to ensure contract work is completed promptly, safely, properly, and within budget.
  • Recruit, hire, and train employees to meet contract requirements.
  • Provide new and follow-on training and support to warehouse employees.
  • Complete applicable Government-provided training for direct reports to strengthen accountability and oversight.
  • May perform Contract Manager duties during short absences to ensure contract performance is maintained.
Operations & Contract Compliance
  • Ensure contractual compliance through surveillance, audits, inspections, and timely corrective action when standards are not met.
  • Order and maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and tools.
  • Submit invoices for ordered supplies.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment and tools needed for job functions.
  • Work with the Director of Operations, Quality Control, and Safety on issues related to established goals.
Safety, Quality & Training Support
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Control and Safety Plans.
  • Promote Management of Safety (MOST) philosophy and practices.
  • Support warehouse employees with training and site-level quality and safety expectations.
Administration & Customer Communication
  • Administer corporate personnel policies in accordance with the contract and Employee Handbook.
  • Support the People team with investigations, inquiries, actions, and policy implementation.
  • Process employee time sheets, new hire and termination paperwork, and other administrative tasks by established deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Workforce Development to place employees in suitable positions and provide appropriate accommodations, as required.
  • Maintain positive customer relations through professional communication and timely responses to inquiries and requests.

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing or supervising functions required, to include:
    • Establishing and maintaining reporting and management procedures for stock consumption, receipt, storage, and issue of property,
    • Conducting inventories,
    • Analyzing trends in stockage policy and customer support,
    • Supervising storage facilities.
  • Must meet a 7-level Craftsman or equivalent 2S0X1 Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Knowledge of Air Force supply, logistics, inventory, and property accountability procedures.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations, material handling, hazardous materials, and OSHA requirements.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities, work under pressure, and collaborate with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities and address performance or disciplinary matters as needed.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
  • Ability to respond to after-hour emergency calls as determined by the Contracting Office Representative (COR).
  • Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% locally.
  • Ability to be insured as an authorized driver for the Company.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
