Since 1999, we've grown rapidly by challenging the status quo. We move fast, think big, and stay agile. Free from unnecessary bureaucracy so we can deliver smarter solutions for our clients and create real impact.
But what truly sets us apart? Our people. We're a team of curious, optimistic and courageous individuals who collaborate to make life better for more Australians. We value authenticity, and agility, and we believe in creating an environment where you can do your best work, grow your career, and feel part of something meaningful.
If you're looking for a place where your ideas matter, where innovation is celebrated, and where you can help shape a brighter financial future, join us at Netwealth.
As our team continues to grow, we are seeking an Assistant Analyst to join us.
If you’re someone who loves connecting the dots, asking “why?”, and spotting what others might miss, this could be your next move.
You’ll join our Operations Governance team, where the work sits at the heart of risk, compliance and customer outcomes, protecting both our clients and the business while continuously improving how we operate.
At Netwealth, Customer Operations is built around delivering exceptional outcomes across the entire customer lifecycle, from onboarding and transactions through to complaints, remediation and risk management.
This role plays a key part in making sure we do that in a way that is not only efficient, but compliant and thoughtful.
What you'll be doing
You’ll work closely with Analysts and your Team Leader to support day-to-day governance activities, getting exposure to a really interesting mix of transaction monitoring, investigations, reporting and process improvement.
Your day to day will look like:
Reviewing transaction alerts and identifying unusual or suspicious activity
Investigating customer behaviours and transaction patterns to assess potential risk
Supporting case management, tracking and reporting across the team
Contributing to monthly reporting by pulling together data, insights and trends
Working with internal stakeholders to gather information and support investigations
Ensuring compliance incidents are captured and managed in a timely way
Keeping across regulatory changes and supporting the business in preparing for what’s ahead
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and make things more efficient
You’ll also get exposure across multiple parts of the business, collaborating with teams like Sales, Product, IT and Risk & Compliance.
What you'll bring
You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you will bring a strong foundation and a genuine interest in learning.
Must-have:
1–2 years’ experience in administration, operations or a similar role
Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
A naturally curious mindset with attention to detail
Confidence working with data, systems or reporting tools
Clear communication and the ability to investigate and document findings effectively
Nice to have:
Exposure to financial services, or a regulated environment
Experience or interest in financial crime, fraud, scams or compliance
This isn’t just about processing tasks, it’s about building capability. You’ll develop a strong foundation in AML/CTF, transaction monitoring and operational governance, while working alongside a collaborative team who genuinely support each other and share knowledge.
You’ll also be part of a team that:
Values curiosity and continuous improvement
Encourages you to ask questions and challenge assumptions
Supports your development through coaching and on-the-job learning
Works closely across the business, giving you great exposure and context
