Assistant Construction Manager
Job Description
To maintain fire protection systems in buildings. Work involves installing, inspecting, maintaining and testing the sprinkler system, fire alarm system and hose reel system, etc.
- At least a Polytechnic Diploma, A-Levels, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, any field.
- At least 2 to 3 years of relevant working experiences in Construction field
- Able to perform overtime when required
- Assist the Construction Manager in planning and overseeing daily site operations.
- Coordinate construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Supervise site supervisors, subcontractors, and workers during construction works.
- Monitor work progress and prepare daily or weekly progress reports.
- Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Assist in scheduling manpower, materials, equipment, and site resources.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Enforce workplace safety regulations and ensure compliance with WSH requirements.
- Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Identify site issues and assist in resolving technical or operational problems.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for material delivery and work execution.
- Monitor project timelines and report delays or risks to management.
- Maintain proper documentation including permits, inspection records, and site reports.
- Assist in cost control and material usage monitoring.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and organization of the construction site.
- Support project completion activities including inspections, testing, and handover works.
Work office hours - 8.30am to 5.00pm - Mon to Fri. , Sat up to 12noon.
