We are looking for an ambitious, energetic, and detail\-oriented Editor<\/b> to join our editorial team. The selected candidate will play a key role in creating high\-quality content for our magazine and news portal<\/b>, while contributing to the overall editorial strategy and brand growth.
<\/p>
The role involves researching, writing, editing, and coordinating content related to Metro Rail, Railways, High\-Speed Rail, RRTS, Urban Mobility, and Infrastructure sectors<\/b>. The candidate will also work closely with designers, sales, and marketing teams to ensure timely publication and strong industry engagement.
<\/p>
The objective of this role is to drive sustainable editorial growth through impactful articles, whitepapers, media interviews, research papers, and strong relationships with industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/h2>Maintain the highest standards of editorial ethics, accuracy, and quality

Research, collect, write, and edit content including:

News articles
<\/p><\/li>
Feature articles
<\/p><\/li>
Cover stories
<\/p><\/li>
Media interviews
<\/p><\/li>
Whitepapers and research papers
<\/p><\/li>
Opinions, tenders, and contract\-related updates
<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
Publish news stories/articles daily on the news portal
<\/p><\/li>
Write at least one featured editorial/article every month on recent developments in:

Metro Rail
<\/p><\/li>
High\-Speed Rail
<\/p><\/li>
RRTS projects
<\/p><\/li>
Smart and sustainable public transportation
<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
Coordinate with designers to ensure timely completion of magazine layouts
<\/p><\/li>
Review and proofread all content before publication to ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency
<\/p><\/li>
Verify facts, data, and sources cited in articles
<\/p><\/li>
Allocate space for text, images, graphics, and illustrations in coordination with the design team
<\/p><\/li>
Support the sales and marketing team in creating promotional content such as banners, emailers, and creatives
<\/p><\/li>
Conduct and coordinate media interviews with:
<\/p>
Industry leaders
<\/p><\/li>
Senior government officials (Urban Development, Transport, Railways)
<\/p><\/li>
Metro rail operators, EPC contractors, consultants, and service providers
<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
Encourage and manage \u201cCall for Papers\u201d from professionals in the metro, rail, infrastructure, and urban mobility ecosystem
<\/p><\/li>
Review and evaluate submitted articles for fair and quality publication
<\/p><\/li>
Support quality control by reviewing each magazine issue before release
<\/p><\/li>
Promote the magazine and news portal through social media, industry events, conferences, and forums
<\/p><\/li>
Perform additional editorial assignments as directed by the Editorial Board
<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

Requirements<\/h3>Requirements<\/b>
<\/h2>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field
<\/p><\/li>
Prior experience in writing, editing, or proofreading (media/publishing experience preferred)
<\/p><\/li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
<\/p><\/li>
Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and editorial style
<\/p><\/li>
Creative mindset with curiosity and interest in a wide range of topics
<\/p><\/li>
Ability to generate compelling story ideas and attention\-grabbing headlines
<\/p><\/li>
Strong editorial judgment to assess ethics, relevance, and evidence in stories
<\/p><\/li>
Ability to rewrite and simplify content for better reader understanding
<\/p><\/li>
Detail\-oriented with strong fact\-checking and quality\-control skills

Ability to guide and collaborate with writers, designers, and internal teams

Interest or background in infrastructure, metro rail, railways, or urban mobility is an added advantage
