About the Role
We are looking for an Accountant to help build, scale, and strengthen a core part of Swap’s finance operations.

You will own day-to-day accounting activities, support month-end close processes across multiple legal entities, and play a key role in introducing automation, AI-driven efficiencies, and system improvements across the finance function.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and operating in a fast-paced startup environment. You'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact while helping build the foundations of a modern, scalable finance function.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post payroll journals across multiple legal entities and departments.
Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and key balance sheet accounts.
Maintain and improve month-end close trackers, finance policies, and control documentation.
Support tax compliance activities, including VAT reviews and preparation of draft VAT returns.
Contribute to system implementations and improvements, including NetSuite and automation initiatives.
Assist with annual audits and broader finance operations across multiple legal entities.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency through automation and AI.
What We'd Like to See3–5+ years' experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a startup or fast-paced environment.
Degree, accountancy qualification, or studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or similar.
Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
Proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for problem-solving and process improvement.
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across the business.
