Assistant Finance (Tax) Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager, Finance, you are responsible for managing tax compliance across Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines, while supporting Group-wide tax matters. This includes ensuring timely and accurate filing of all statutory tax obligations such as corporate tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax, Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and Pillar 2 requirements. This roles also provides advisory support on M&A, transfer pricing and other tax-related matters to internal stakeholders across various functions and projects.
• Manage day‑to‑day tax affairs for the assigned geographies, with a primary focus on tax compliance while maintaining a broad understanding of international tax issues.
• Prepare, review, and ensure timely submission of statutory tax filings, including corporate income tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax, CbCR, and other regulatory requirements.
• Support effective tax planning for capital allowance claims in a capital‑intensive business, working closely with external contractors and internal finance teams on capex classification and records.
• Liaise with tax authorities (e.g. IRAS), external tax advisers, and auditors on corporate tax matters, year‑end processes, and tax‑related queries.
• Provide support on group taxation matters, including withholding taxes, property taxes, GST, and transfer pricing guidelines, while monitoring tax legislation in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines and assessing potential impacts.
• Any other duties or projects as assigned by the Management.
Requirements
• Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of corporate tax experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good working knowledge of SAP accounting systems.
• Self‑motivated with strong attention to detail and a high level of ownership over responsibilities.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, proactive team player who is able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
* This position is a maternity cover and will be non-renewable.
Our intended contract period will be from Mid- August 2026 – Mid-February 2027.
Flexible work arrangement but at the beginning of contract, candidate may need to work at least 4 days/ week in the office to familiarise with procedures.
