Assistant Life Coach (Day Activity Centre)
Responsibilities:
Programme Support & Client Engagement
- Programme Implementation Support: Support the implementation of daily programme activities and routines as guided by Life Coaches
- Client Participation & Engagement Support: Assist clients in participating in activities that promote life skills, social interaction, and engagement
- Individual Behavioural & Participation Support: Provide individual support to clients during activities to encourage participation and positive behaviour
- Programme Resources & Environment Preparation: Support preparation and setup of programme materials, equipment, and learning spaces
Personal Care & Safety Support
- Client Relationship & Engagement: Build positive and trust-based relationships with clients to support engagement
- Personal Care Support: Provide personal care support (e.g. feeding, toileting, mobility assistance) where required, in accordance with care plans and guidelines
- Client Wellbeing Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor clients’ wellbeing and promptly report any concerns related to health, behaviour, or safety
- Health, Safety, & Hygiene Compliance: Ensure health, safety, and hygiene practices are followed consistently during programme activities
Documentation & Administrative Support
- Documentation: Assist in basic documentation of client participation, attendance, and daily observations as guided by Life Coaches
- Data Collection Support: Support data collection and administrative tasks related to programme delivery
Requirements:
- A recognised ITE certificate, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Social Services, Healthcare, Special Education, or related fields.
- Relevant training in autism, disability support, or caregiving will be an advantage.
- Relevant experience in supporting persons with disabilities, elderly persons, or individuals requiring care support will be an advantage.
