Assistant Manager - Business & Tax Advisory
As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with Managers, Directors and Partners to deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse client base. You will take ownership of engagements, support client relationships, review work prepared by junior team members and contribute to the ongoing development of our people and practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for a variety of entity types.
- Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other compliance obligations.
- Assist in delivering tax advice across a broad range of client matters.
- Support compliance with Division 7A requirements and trust distribution planning.
- Advise clients on the tax implications of different structures including companies, trusts, partnerships and corporate groups.
- Provide business advisory support to private businesses and family groups.
- Review work prepared by Consultants and Senior Consultants, ensuring technical accuracy and quality.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor junior team members to support their professional development.
- Assist Managers and Partners in delivering complex client engagements and advisory projects.

To be successful, you will bring:
- Experience within Australian Business Services and Tax Advisory, ideally at Senior Accountant, Senior Analyst or Assistant Manager level.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns and BAS.
- Familiarity with a broad range of entity structures including companies, trusts, partnerships and corporate groups.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with private businesses, family groups and entrepreneurial clients.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
- Experience reviewing work and providing guidance to junior team members.
- Experience gained within a public practice accounting environment, preferably within a mid-tier or large accounting firm.
- Must have full working rights
- Completed CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
