Assistant Manager (Enhanced Fundraising Programme)

[What the role is]

This role involves managing an end-to-end grants programme (EFR), covering application evaluation, compliance, and stakeholder engagement with charities and government agencies. The person will also maintain programme documentation, analyse performance data to generate strategic insights, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including SOP reviews and digital solutions — all with the aim of enhancing both operational efficiency and the applicant experience.

[What you will be working on]

Grant Management & Compliance You'll evaluate and process EFR applications and appeals within our service standard, ensuring all submissions meet programme requirements and compliance standards. This includes conducting thorough assessments of EFR applications and managing the application process with fairness and transparency.

Programme Development & Continuous Improvement Lead regular reviews of our Terms and Conditions and Frequently Asked Questions, working closely with legal and policy teams to ensure our guidance remains current and accessible. You'll identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance the applicant experience.

Stakeholder Engagement & Support Build strong relationships with charities, government agencies, and internal departments to facilitate smooth programme operations. This includes managing our dedicated Grants mailbox and providing technical guidance to help charities submit successful applications. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for programme queries and ensure prompt resolution of issues.

Data Analytics & Strategic Insights Collect, analyse, and report on EFR performance metrics including programme outcomes, stakeholder feedback, and programme effectiveness indicators. You'll conduct annual stakeholder surveys, maintain comprehensive programme databases, and generate actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making. Your analysis will help demonstrate programme impact and identify opportunities for enhancement.

Innovation & Process Excellence Participate in regular Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) reviews and contribute to policy development initiatives. You'll explore innovative approaches to improve programme efficiency, test new digital solutions, and champion process improvements that enhance both applicant experience and operational effectiveness.
