Specific Responsibilities Would Include
Lead the Customs Compliance team across Asia and the First Sale functions from China
• Program Communication & Vendor Identificationo Communicate First Sale mechanics, requirements, and workflows to Business and Sourcing teams.o Identify potential First Sale vendor candidates based on the information from SAP PO report and BU/Sourcing Team.• Vendor Pre Screening & Eligibility Assessmento Conduct initial assessments of vendor eligibility for First Sale participation.o Perform pre screening checks and flag potential risks or gaps.• Vendor Engagement & Onboardingo Introduce the First Sale Program to vendors and provide training/tutorials.o Maintain ongoing communication through calls, emails, and meetings to support onboarding and documentation.• Collaboration with Customs Compliance – Pre Qualification Reviewo Collect sample documents and conduct preliminary checks.o Resolve discrepancies with vendors and finalize document packs for secondary review by in-house Customs Compliance Team or pass to external customs law firm for vetting and due diligence o Secure final approval from designated approvers.
• Coordination with external customs law firmo Issue Letter of assignment to customs law firm and kick off First Sale implementation on vendor & factory o Track progress of the vetted vendors and coordinate with internal teams to expedite vetting.o Collect and submit required documents (POs, invoices, proof of payment, etc.) to customs law firm for First Sale document pack finalization.• Vendor Status Monitoring & Issue Resolutiono Maintain an updated First Sale Chase List of vendor status (approved, Chase, Chase II non-applicable)o Drive progress for vendors in processing and escalate delays when necessary.o Engage potential vendors to secure participation and align with Business leadership.• Vendor Setup & confirm First Sale live shipment dateo Work with BU/Sourcing team to establish new vendor codes under the First Sale purchasing model and confirm live shipment with BU/Sourcing.• First Live Shipment Managemento Issue ‘Notice of First Sale Approval’ to vendors.o Follow up on documentation for the first live shipment and coordinate with Customs Law Firm audit.• System Setup & PO Flagging, InforNexus First Sale Training o Work with Customs Compliance to build and maintain the First Sale flag in SAP and InforNexuso Inform Vendor/Order Management team to arrange training of InforNexus First Sale module to vendor. • Shipment Issue Resolutiono Liaise with Imports and Customs Compliance teams to resolve First Sale shipment issues, including document discrepancies, missing documents, missing FSCW in InforNexus or FS/non FS confirmation.• First Sale Maintenance Review Programo Coordinate with Customs Compliance to collect documents from vendors during maintenance review cycles.• Brokerage Reporting & Savings Trackingo Maintain First Sale Brokerage Reports and validate First Sale entries against brokerage and savings reports to ensure accuracy.o Track and record First Sale duty savings.o Prepare First Sale Realized Saving report – Monthlyo Follow up with BU for Monthly First Sale Forecast and update First Sale Tracker – Monthly• Monthly Reportingo Prepare monthly First Sale Duty Savings Reports, including: o Forecasted savings – First Sale Savings Projection o YTD realized savings – First Sale Saving Summary o Vendor status updates – Chase List• Ad Hoc Reportingo Prepare additional First Sale reports as required.
• First Sale Program – Data Coordination, Savings Evaluation & Reportingo Weekly Report Coordination & Data Tracing/Analysiso Take full ownership of weekly reporting cycles, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate data collection. Perform deep-dive data tracing to identify trends, anomalies, and compliance gaps. Use analytical tools to interpret shipment volumes, vendor performance, and duty savings patterns, providing actionable insights that guide decision-making.o Evaluation of Potential First Sale Savings Opportunitieso Proactively review updated SAP reports to identify new or underutilized vendor–factory combinations eligible for First Sale treatment. Assess potential duty savings by analyzing FOB volumes, applicable duty rates, and additional tariff impacts. Prioritize opportunities based on estimated margin uplift and collaboration feasibility, then work with sourcing and compliance teams to pursue vetting and activation.o First Sale Saving Projections & Analytical Reportingo Prepare monthly and quarterly First Sale savings projections by integrating actual shipment data, SAP order pipelines, and historical performance. Build dynamic models that forecast savings under different tariff scenarios, and present analytical reports to leadership. These reports highlight achieved savings versus targets, track chase‑list progress, and support strategic decisions on resource allocation and vendor expansion.

Additional Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis (e.g., macros, Power BI, VBA).• At least 5 years of experience in related field as a people leader role• Detailed minded and able to work under pressure• Good interpersonal and communication skill• Independent, self-motivated, and good team player• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
