Assistant Manager, Retail & Product Marketing

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-own Go-to-Market strategy, providing market and customer insights to shape seasonal direction
  • Lead planning and decision-making for in-store marketing, guiding execution teams and vendors (non hands-on production role)
  • Drive retail marketing strategy for new store openings, including customer targeting, launch buzz and cross-channel integration
  • Ensure consistency in brand image, product storytelling and retail communication across touchpoints
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to enhance overall marketing effectiveness
  • Analyze retail and marketing performance data, providing insights to support business decisions
  • Collaborate with Global Headquarters to ensure alignment with global brand direction
  • Participate in cross-functional and strategic projects, with opportunities to take on broader leadership responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related disciplines
  • 6-9 years of relevant experience in fast-moving retail or FMCG environments, with demonstrated ownership of marketing projects or strategic initiatives
  • Solid understanding of brand communication, product positioning and retail marketing
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proactive, open-minded and able to challenge ideas and contribute perspectives
  • Adaptable and resilient in a dynamic and demanding business environment
  • Able to work effectively in a structured, cross-cultural environment with close collaboration with Japanese Headquarters
  • Strong interest in fashion and brand building, with sensitivity to trends
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese; Mandarin is a plus
