Assistant Mechanical Design Engineer (West), Up to $3,300

Location: Pandan Crescent (Nearest MRT Station - Haw Par Villa)

Working hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: $2,500 – $3,300 (depending on experience)

Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Mechanical Engineer to support our Design and Engineering team in developing mechanical components and technical solutions.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and hands-on experience in CAD drafting. This role works closely with senior designers and engineers on a variety of design and product development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies
• Prepare and modify technical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD and/or 3D CAD software
• Support Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation and updates
• Review technical specifications for materials, parts, and components
• Maintain and organize engineering drawings, documentation, and records
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams
• Participate in project discussions and technical meetings as required

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D drafting is essential)
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering drawings and design principles
• Familiarity with 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor) is an advantage
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills
