Job Summary

Salisbury University is seeking a qualified individual to assist the Head Coach with all aspects of leading a competitive NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Program. This position requires a commitment towards the student athletes on preparation, academic achievement, and community involvement while adhering to NCAA DIII bylaws and Salisbury University Athletic standards.

This full-time (C2) assistant coaching position plays a vital role in the success of Salisbury University's varsity athletic programs. The assistant coach is actively involved in all aspects of the recruitment and retention of student-athletes, contributing to both the competitive excellence and the academic success of the men’s soccer team.

Authority and Accountability

This position reports directly to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach and ultimately to the Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation. The
position provides supervision for student workers and contractual assistant coaches, but does not have budgetary responsibility.

Requires/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-3 Years collegiate coaching experience
  • Experience in recruitment and retention of student athletes
  • Leadership abilities with excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teamworks software experience
  • Workday Experience
  • Experience navigating NCAA rules and eligibility

Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

Additional Job Information:

The position is a Contingent II, full-time, exempt position.
