Assistant Merchandiser
Disturbia is a leading alternative lifestyle brand which has been recognised for the last 3 years as a Times top 100 fastest growing company. As our team continues to expand and grow, we are on the look our for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our 3 person Merchandising team.
You'll play a key part in the Merchandising team, helping to ensure the right product is in the right place, at the right time. Using data to uncover insights into product performance across the global business, you'll help drive sales and profitability, while managing stock levels and optimising product availability.
Working closely with Merchandising, as well as Buying, Design, E-commerce and Marketing teams, you'll support trading and planning decisions that shape a great customer experience.
- Producing daily and weekly sales reporting, and contributing to weekly trade analysis to identify key opportunities and risks, along with proposed actions. This includes suggestions for repeats, cancellations and markdowns, with the ability to illustrate the implications on intake margin and profitability,
- Weekly analysis on returns, sizing and pricing,
- Weekly analysis on global brand performance by region, country and category, with particular focus on sales, stock and on-order balance,
- Proposing actions to improve slow-performing stock, including but not limited to markdowns and promotional activity,
- Actualising WSSIs and line card data on a regular basis and supporting the senior merchandiser with forecasting,
- Working with the buying team to maintain the critical path,
- Maintaining the range plan and business roll-ups, and supporting purchase order maintenance, including size ratios for New and Repeat orders,
- Updating the delivery schedule and forecasting business intake to ensure targets are achieved in line with forecasts for all global DCs,
- Contributing to Monthly and Quarterly hindsight packs and feeding back lessons learnt to influence business decisions, both in season and for future planning,
- Producing insightful historical analysis to aid business strategy and range planning,
- Maintaining a strong cross-functional presence to support business data needs.
- Excellent excel skills and experience with reporting tools, line cards, WSSIs, trade reporting and forecasting and an ability to create action plans from analysis; Working knowledge of Power B.I. advantageous
- Experience working within a fast paced, head-office trading environment
- An enthusiastic interest in fashion and a passion for data and numbers
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure, with an ability to prioritise workload and manage up;

- Excellent communication skills
- At minimum of 2 years previous experience in a fashion retail head office, with some experience at Assistant Merchandiser level preferred.
