RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Plant Manager in overseeing and managing overall plant production operations.
  • Maintain and continuously improve management systems and ESHQ (Environment, Safety, Health & Quality) programs to meet regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Lead and manage plant process safety analyses and develop execution strategies to ensure safe and compliant operations.
  • Monitor, drive, and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to maximize productivity and equipment performance.

  • Manage and drive high product yield while consistently meeting product specifications, optimizing raw material consumption and minimize waste.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all relevant plant processes to optimize production costs while ensuring reliable output and high product quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plant and process-related issues to minimize disruptions and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Manage and execute CAPEX and improvement projects, acting as the project lead to ensure timely and effective delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education, Certification or relevant experience required:
    • Master or Bachelor in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or equivalent by experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in plant management function or operations in relevant industries.
    • Site Main Controller (SMC) certification as per SG regulation.
    • Experience with Process Safety Analysis and Management of Change will be an added advantage.
    • Experience with AI tools will be an added advantage

  • Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.

  • Posses leadership skills especially a strong communication and team mindset.
  • Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge to act independently while providing guidance and training to others on using clear and effective verbal communications skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies.
  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on making sure the organization develops and maintains the culture, values and design it needs to reach its objectives while managing structural change.
