Assistant Production Manager
Production Management
- Assist the Production Manager in managing daily production activities.
- Work on production planning, and ensure production schedules are achieved according to delivery timelines and customer requirements.
- Monitor production output, yield, costing, machine utilization, wastage, and downtime.
- Coordinate with warehouse, QA and logistics teams to support production flow.
Production Operations
- Expertise in meat processing and manufacturing of meat products
- Ability to manage and participate in day-to-day production operations in a hands-on manner.
- Research and develop new products, complete and implement processing specs on site.
- Guide and train production operators on processing with skills and organize the production teams to achieve efficiency and accuracy.
Quality & Food Safety
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, SFA, GMP, ISO 22000, and company food safety standards.
- Monitor product quality, consistency, weight control, and packaging standards.
- Ensure hygiene and sanitation procedures are strictly followed.
- Support internal audits, external audits, and customer inspections.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
Team Management
- Supervise production supervisors, line leaders, and production operators.
- Conduct staff training on SOPs, food hygiene, workplace safety, and operational procedures.
- Assist in manpower planning, attendance monitoring, and shift scheduling.
- Maintain discipline and productivity within the production team.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor raw material usage and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams on stock availability.
- Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate production documentation and reporting.
Workplace Safety
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations.
- Promote safe work practices and proper PPE usage.
- Report and investigate workplace incidents when necessary.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or meat processing industry.
- Candidate must be operationally hands-on and able to work closely with production teams
- Experience with automated food processing equipment will be added advantage.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SFA, and food safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Able to work in afast-paced manufacturing environment.
