Job Description:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Assist the Operations Manager in various production activities concerned with scheduling the sheet metal department, observations of technical issues surrounding production and eliminating future operational difficulties. Manages work flow and job flow through the production system, by setting a precise schedule that meets customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Dispatches, schedules, and answers questions regarding production orders
  • Manages to ensure sheet metal department meets expectations and deadlines
  • Reviews and forwards production reports, work orders, documentation, and other related paperwork
  • Places orders for parts
  • Manages larger projects or jobs

A High School Diploma or GED and three or more years of relevant experience involving demonstrated abilities in construction, and fabrication; or any combination of training, education and experience which provides the following knowledge, abilities, and skills.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities to meet critical deadlines, as well as working independently.
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing.
  • Ability to operate computer, telephone, and other office equipment
  • Strong work ethic with an enthusiastic, positive attitude, and the highest level of integrity.
  • Excellent communication and skills.
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
