Job Description:
This position is in the department of Environmental Sciences in the College of the Coast and Environment for a wildlife disease ecologist specializing in how host behavior and environmental change influence host susceptibility and disease dynamics across organizational levels. Candidates for this position are expected to establish a rigorous extramural funded program and teach courses in the areas that could include but are not limited to freshwater conservation, wildlife and disease ecology, and ecoimmunology as well as teaching existing undergraduate and graduate courses in these areas including but not limited to Introduction to Environmental Sciences.
Teach courses applicable to the expertise of the applicant and needs of the Department of Environmental Sciences - 50%
Develop and maintain a rigorous, externally funded research program - 30%
Mentor Graduate Students - 10%
Provide intermural and extramural service to the University as well as external groups - 10%
