Assistant Project Manager - HVAC/Controls
Brooks Building Solutions is expanding in the Orlando market, and we're seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our growing Building Automation team. This opportunity is ideal for someone with construction, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, controls, or project coordination experience who is looking to expand their skills and advance their career.
Working alongside experienced Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians, you'll help coordinate project schedules, materials, subcontractors, customer communication, and project documentation while gaining exposure to cutting-edge building automation technology and commercial construction projects.

Pay Range:
$53,000-$65,000+, negotiable based on experience
- Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating building automation project
- Assist with tracking budgets, timelines, and project changes
- Help coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Maintain project documentation and prepare status updates
- Conduct site visits and help ensure project quality and safety
- Collaborate with technical staff to support design, installation, and troubleshooting
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in both office and active construction/job site environments.
- Ability to walk job sites, including uneven terrain and partially completed buildings.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed to access equipment and project areas.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials, tools, plans, or equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand for extended periods during site visits and inspections.
- Ability to safely navigate mechanical rooms, rooftops, construction areas, and confined workspaces as required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Solid problem-solving and time management abilities
- Ability to collaborate with diverse project teams and stakeholders
- Basic understanding of project documentation and technical drawings
- Commitment to safety and adherence to quality standards
- Familiarity with project management tools (a plus)
- Background in commercial HVAC or building automation systems and controls (a plus)
