Assistant Project Manager (Steel Structure)
A) Job Description:
- To assist Project Manager in supervising and coordinating the site construction team for permanent steel structures.
- Ensure strict implementation of safe work procedures and maintain a high standard of site safety.
- Conduct regular site safety meetings and enforce safety measures on construction site.
- Implement and review construction methodology specific to steel structure fabrication and erection, including feasibility studies of construction sequences.
- Closely monitor project operations to ensure timely completion within schedule and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Update Management and the team daily on project progress, highlighting key milestones and challenges.
- Organise and manage project resources (e.g. manpower, machinery, equipment, materials) for projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, in line with project progress.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant local experience in permanent steel structure construction/ structural steel works.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and team player.
- Proven track record in completing projects involving steel structures.
- Willingness to work on construction sites and travel across Singapore as required.
