Job Summary
<\/p>
The Plant Purchasing Manager will ensure the purchasing of capital goods and machinery, laboratory equipments and operational continuity of Bhuj site \u2013 2 production plants.
<\/p>
As Purchasing Manager for capital machinery, the role covers the management of the category for the 2 production sites in Bhuj, Kutch along with subordinate equipment, spares and maintenance related purchase for the full production lines.
<\/p>
As Purchasing Manager for laboratory equipment, the role covers the management of the category for the 2 Rio Labs centres at Bhuj, Kutch.

Plant Purchasing Manager<\/b>
<\/p>
The roles are the following ones:
<\/p>
- Be the Purchasing Manager for local capital / capex purchase, manage the
<\/li><\/ul>RFQs, lead negotiations, contract with suppliers and develop new vendors and manage their performance.
<\/p>- Be the single point of contact to the plant managers / operations head, ensure the requirements are clearly understood technically and planning wise with clear understanding of the full production lines
<\/li> - Deploy the Group purchasing strategy and contribute to the deployment of the contracts which are negotiated by the Category Managers.
<\/li> - Monitor the financial purchasing performance of the plants and track the budgets of the lines and its cost escalation & savings.
<\/li> - Propose and Manage regional or national purchasing synergies.
<\/li> - Be the guarantor of the continuous improvement of the purchasing process.
<\/li> - Understand production process and value add the lines by sourcing newer consumables to ensure either high productivity or cost savings.
<\/li> - Work with project and operations team and ensure the availability of materials in time to meet the demand and schedule of projects and production.
<\/li> - Oversee purchase department. Develop and implement procedures and policies for the department.
<\/li><\/ul>Requirements<\/b>
<\/p>· BE / B\-TECH in Engineering
<\/p>· Knowledge of inventory management and vendor management.
<\/p>· Minimum of 7 year\u2019s experience in purchasing, in industrial or /and laboratory purchase.
<\/p>· Proven financial management business performance;
<\/p>· Ability to promote best purchasing and procurement practices
<\/p>· Proficiency with Ms\-Excel & SAP
<\/p>· Value for money, compliance enforcement, prompt and transparent financial reporting.
<\/p>· Ability and willingness to understand the technical elements of the categories
<\/p>· Good analytical and problem\-solving ability.
<\/p>· Strong negotiation and communication skills both internally and externally.
<\/p>· Desire to work in an organization where there is a culture of urgency, personal accountability, and of striving \u2018to perform\u2019.
