Job Description\:

The role as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor sits within a team responsible for the commercial management of major on‑site subcontracts, supporting the successful delivery of the T26 Global Combat Ship Major Programme of Works. The team works closely with project, engineering, and site stakeholders to ensure subcontract activities are effectively controlled, commercially compliant, and delivered in line with programme, cost, and contractual objectives.

Core duties\:

  • Lead day-to-day commercial administration of NEC4 major subcontract packages
  • Manage Early Warning processes, including coordination of responses and support to risk reduction meetings
  • Draft, assess, negotiate, and agree Compensation Events in line with NEC4 requirements
  • Provide clear commercial advice and reporting to support programme decision-making

Essential Skills\:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline
  • Quantity Surveying experience within a relevant sector such as the Construction industry, or holds major project experience
  • Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 Contract Administration/management in major project environment
