About the job
Based Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, the Assistant Revenue Manager is responsible for ensure the smooth operation of the Revenue Management department by providing assistance to the Director of Revenue Management in carrying out managerial and operational task. The Assistant Revenue Manager reports to the Director of Revenue Management.
As Assistant Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Assist in identifying future demand and offer suggestions for controls to be set with the goal of revenue optimization
- Monitor room rates, demand trends, and market conditions to recommend adjustments to pricing, availability, and inventory.
- Assist in development of forecasts and budgets
- Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly report preparation and analysis
- Track booking pace, market segment performance, and distribution channel contribution.
- Prepare detailed reports for the Revenue Manager / Director of Revenue and senior management, providing insights on revenue performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor competitive set rates to aid in setting pricing strategy and identifying internal compression at competing hotels
- Assist in managing room inventory across all booking channels, including brand website, OTAs, GDS, etc.
- Ensure that availability and pricing on third-party channels are aligned with the hotel’s revenue strategy.
- Collaborate with the reservations team to ensure that group blocks, room allocations, and overbooking strategies are effectively managed.
- Work with the Revenue Manager / Director of Revenue to optimize the use of the Revenue Management System (RMS) and Property Management System (PMS).
- Monitor rates across various channels to ensure rate parity
- Ensure correct rate loading and communication of new rates and packages to reservations, front office, accounting and other impacted departments
- Collaborate with the reservations, sales, and front office teams to ensure alignment on revenue management strategies and daily operations.
- Communicate regularly with department heads on pricing changes, market trends, and inventory management decisions.
- Provide guidance and training to the reservations team on pricing strategies and best practices for managing inventory.
As Assistant Revenue Manager, we expect from you:
Educational Background
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Revenue Management, Reservations, or related commercial roles within the hospitality industry
- Prior experience in hotel revenue, reservations, or distribution management
Skills & Competencies

Technical Proficiency

- Proficiency in revenue management systems (RMS) and property management systems (PMS) is a plus.
