Assistant Service Engineer (Security & Automation Systems)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, calibrations, repairs, and component replacements for equipment and systems.

  • Monitor system software and applications, manage updates and patches, and troubleshoot operational issues.

  • Analyse machine and system performance data to identify improvement opportunities and conduct failure trend analysis.

  • Provide technical support via phone, email, chat, and onsite troubleshooting.

  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement when necessary.

  • Support 24/7 maintenance operations through rotating 12-hour shift schedules.

  • Coordinate with customers, contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure service excellence.

  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to relevant internal teams and product vendors.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, SOPs, and technical documentation.

  • Collaborate with Integration and Delivery teams to ensure operational readiness and technical competency.

  • Support enterprise infrastructure monitoring and system performance management.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.

Key Requirements

  • Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in hardware, systems maintenance, technical support, or engineering operations.

  • Strong hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, hardware, or enterprise systems environments.

  • Comfortable working in a rotating 12-hour shift environment.

  • Experience in maintenance operations, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience supporting Singapore Government projects or critical infrastructure systems will be an added advantage.
