About the RoleThe Department of Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Clinical-Research Physician to join our Breast Medicine team. What You’ll Do
• Provide thoughtful, patient-centered care for individuals with breast cancer within a multidisciplinary oncology practice
• Collaborate closely with surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, genetics, and supportive care teams
• Contribute to clinical excellence and innovation in breast oncology care delivery
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based and emerging therapeutic approaches
• Conduct translational research bridging laboratory science and patient care
• Participate in and help expand clinical trials and investigational therapeutic initiatives
• Pursue grant opportunities supporting academic and scientific interests
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present scholarly work at academic forums
• Collaborate across disciplines to strengthen the scientific quality, innovation, and impact of translational research efforts
• Foster productive interaction between laboratory investigators and clinical research teams
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, advanced practice providers, and junior faculty
• Support an academic culture grounded in mentorship, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Contribute to the educational mission through lectures, clinical teaching, and scholarly engagement
• Participate in departmental and institutional committees
• Engage in Translational Research Groups and cross-programmatic collaborations
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with scientists and clinicians within Roswell Park and external institutions

The Breast Oncology Program at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is nationally recognized for its multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer treatment, translational research, and clinical trial innovation. Faculty collaborate across medical oncology, surgery, radiation oncology, pathology, genomics, immunology, and supportive care to deliver comprehensive and cutting-edge patient care.

What You’ll Bring
• MD, DO, or equivalent degree with training and expertise in Medical Oncology or a related specialty

Qualifications:
Required Education and ExperienceLicense or Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Medical Oncology or a specialty of Hematologic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Solid Tumor/Investigational Therapeutics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Medical Oncology or a specialty of Hematologic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Solid Tumor/Investigational Therapeutics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess proven expertise in clinical care and translational research, with a demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams. A strong commitment to education, mentorship, and advancing the academic mission, coupled with a robust record of scholarly publications and success in securing grant-funded research, is highly desirable.
