Job Description Summary:
The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Advancement serves as the primary Advancement Services Officer for the Texas A&M University System. Members of the Texas A&M University System have varying levels of expertise within their organizations. The Assistant Vice Chancellor supports members, as needed, in the execution of their fundraising, donor relations, and stewardship plans.
Responsibilities:
- Support System members as needed in their fundraising efforts.
- Assist with donor research.
- Support System members in the creation and execution of stewardship plans.
- Serve as a liaison between System members and OGC to support the execution of gift agreements.
- Advise System members on naming opportunities and policies.
- Create donor reports for the System.
- Work collaboratively with the Chancellor and the System Executive Team on external funding from individual donors, foundations and agencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Four years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Leadership and accomplishment in the field of development.
- Track record of fundraising success, especially in major gift development and solicitations.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong work ethic, personal integrity and strategic thinking.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
