What You’ll Do

  • Oversee end-to-end GST return preparation, filing, and compliance for all Indian entities and associated GST registrations in accordance with statutory requirements

  • Liaise with the Global Tax team, Controllers, hubs, and other departments to gather required information and provide necessary clarifications.

  • Work closely with Big4 and other consulting firms to understand filing requirements, align timelines, and ensure compliance with local regulatory deadlines.

  • Create comprehensive entity-wise GST compliance plans based on consultant discussions and align them with internal teams for efficient execution

  • Track and communicate the progress of GST returns and ensure timely completion of all filings and submissions.

  • Provide assistance to the Global Tax team during GST audits in India, including documentation and clarification support.

  • Oversee the reconciliation process for VAT ledgers and ensure all reconciliations comply with SOX standards and internal controls.

  • Implement standardized procedures across markets, build key stakeholder relationships, and identify opportunities for process improvements both within and across functions.

What We’re Looking For

  • CA/CPA Professional with a minimum of 6+ years of specialized experience in Indirect Tax and GST domain

  • Candidates with prior experience in Big4 Audit firms (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC) are preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Indirect Tax and VAT principles with meticulous attention to detail and analytical capabilities

  • Demonstrates exceptional accuracy, takes initiative to expand knowledge, and applies strong financial and analytical skills

  • Successfully manages multiple tasks simultaneously, takes ownership of performance improvement, and persists through challenges

  • Effectively handles complex requests, builds trusted long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders, and manages expectations professionally

  • Proven ability to work effectively within and across teams, encourages participation, and acknowledges team contributions

  • NetSuite ERP system proficiency is an added advantage for this role
