Associate DevOps Engineer

Overview

ResponsibilitiesSupport the maintenance and improvement of CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, GitHub Actions, or similar)Assist with provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, etc) using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormationMonitor system health, respond to alerts, and participate in on-call rotations with senior supportContainerize applications and assist with Kubernetes or Docker Compose deploymentsWrite and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python, or similar)Collaborate with development teams to improve build, test, and release workflowsContribute to documentation for runbooks, deployment procedures, and infrastructure diagramsParticipate in incident postmortems and help implement follow-up improvementsRequired Qualifications0–2 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or systems/infrastructure role (internships count)Foundational understanding of Linux/Unix systems administrationFamiliarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS preferred)Basic experience with version control (Git)Some exposure to containerization (Docker)Comfortable writing basic scripts to automate repetitive tasksNice to HaveExposure to Kubernetes or container orchestrationExperience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, etc)Cloud certification (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, etc.)Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, firewalls)Soft SkillsStrong curiosity and eagerness to learn in a fast-moving environmentGood communication skills, comfortable asking questions and flagging blockers earlyMethodical troubleshooting approachAble to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
