Associate Director - MEP
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Director - MEP to join our engineering team in Bengaluru, India. In this leadership role, you will oversee the design, coordination, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of MEP engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Develop and implement innovative MEP design strategies that optimize energy efficiency and sustainability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and construction managers, to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems
- Oversee the preparation of detailed MEP drawings, specifications, and calculations using advanced software tools
- Conduct regular project reviews and quality assurance checks to maintain design excellence
- Manage client relationships and communicate complex technical information to stakeholders effectively
- Stay current with industry trends, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices
- Contribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal preparation and client presentations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the MEP department to enhance efficiency and innovation
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required; LEED AP certification is a plus
- 10+ years of experience in MEP engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in managing large-scale commercial or industrial projects
- Expert knowledge of MEP systems design, integration, and sustainable design practices
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, AutoCAD, and energy modeling tools
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members
- In-depth understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make decisive engineering decisions
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
