Job Description

To lead the Credit Administration function within Asia Middle Office for Hong Kong ensuring effective credit control, documentation governance, and regulatory compliance. The role acts as a key control gatekeeper supporting business growth while maintaining strong risk management standards, with a particular focus on Singapore portfolio oversight and MAS regulatory reporting.

The role forms part of the Asia Middle Office function supporting Wholesale Banking activities across Hong Kong and Singapore. The job holder works closely with Front Office, Risk, Legal, and other operation teams, providing oversight on credit administration processes and ensuring consistency with global standards. The role contributes to maintaining a robust control environment and strong audit readiness in a highly regulated banking landscape.

  • Review credit approvals to ensure appropriate limit control and collateral monitoring

  • Review and provide comments on standard and non-standard loan documentation

  • Ensure all loan documentation and Conditions Precedent are satisfactorily completed prior to utilisation

  • Oversee preparation and validation of credit facility setup, including covenant monitoring

  • Provide instructions for derivatives limit setup and maintenance with RMFM

  • Oversee preparation and review of internal management reports and external regulatory reports, including MAS reporting

  • Design and enhance workflow procedures and implement control measures in line with internal policies and audit standards

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and ensure procedure manuals are regularly updated

  • Act as documentation custodian ensuring proper safekeeping of credit and security documents

  • Lead and coordinate internal/external audit reviews and respond to regulatory enquiries

  • Ensure timely escalation of operational issues, risks, and control findings to management and relevant stakeholders

  • Collaborate effectively with regional stakeholders and contribute to global initiatives (projects) and UATs
