Associate Estate Planner - Hybrid

The Associate Estate Planner will be responsible for review of client estate plans. This position involves a fast-paced, high volume of client facing activities providing comprehensive services to existing clients, developing new business and assisting our advisors and financial planning team. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all estate reviews for clients. This will include reviewing documents, preparing a firm-specific summary for clients that earmarks appropriate issues, and presenting that summary in client meetings with advisors and financial planners.

  • Provide advisory services to clients on estate tax planning, wealth and business succession planning, charitable planning and trust tax planning.

  • Communicate with strategic partners in attorneys or law firms to facilitate the drafting of estate documents.

  • Conduct training sessions for the firm and planning team as needed.

  • Perform tasks and other duties assigned by wealth management services team.

  • Publicly represent the estate planning department through participation in firm marketing initiatives, including client and prospective client seminars, writing articles and blogs, and other activities.

  • Coordinate with the financial planning department to illustrate estate planning concepts in our financial planning software as part of the financial plan delivery.

  • Collaborate with the financial planning department on estate planning recommendations that require outside coordination with items such as the following, but not limited to: Life insurance illustrations, Business valuations, Donor advised funds, Buy-sell arrangements and funding, Business entity structure set up, Pre and post nuptial agreements, and Special needs trusts.

  • Perform additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature as necessary in order to achieve the firm's business development and client retention objectives.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform business functions with focus on consistency, quality, and compliance.
