Associate Insights Analyst

Overview

The Junior Analyst will play a vital role in supporting various analytical projects and initiatives across different departments within the business unit. Junior Insight Analysts contribute to the organization's success by providing valuable insights that inform strategic decision-making and drive business growth.

The insights team operates as an internal consulting group to supply, manage, and analyze overpayment recovery data for use in assigning actions needed, as well as recommending organizational efficiency improvements across all post-production areas.

Responsibilities

Data Collection and Management:

  • Gather data from various sources including internal databases, external sources, surveys, and market research.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by conducting data validation, cleaning, and preprocessing tasks.
  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Conduct research and gather information from internal and external sources to support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of analytical models and tools to optimize business processes and performance.
  • Contribute to continuously improving data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and documentation.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Utilize statistical techniques and analytical tools to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Identify trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalies within the data to provide valuable insights.
  • Interpret analysis results and translate them into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.

Insights Generation:

  • Generate actionable insights by synthesizing data analysis findings with industry knowledge and business context.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize business processes, improve performance, and capitalize on opportunities identified through data analysis.

Planning Support:

  • Support planning initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations for long-term business strategies.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and predictive modeling to assess the potential impact of strategic decisions on business outcomes.
  • Support the preparation and presentation of reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Data Governance and Compliance:

  • Adhere to data governance policies and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
  • Safeguard sensitive data and ensure appropriate access controls are in place to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computers, Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in any analytical capacity handling large data sets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and analyze complex datasets.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Technical Aptitude: Exposure to tools and software such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI is desirable.

  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are crucial for conveying complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner through written reports, presentations, and verbal discussions.
  • Curiosity and Learning Agility: A strong desire to learn and explore new methodologies, techniques, and tools in the field of data analysis and insights generation is essential for staying current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Resilience: The ability to handle pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and overcome setbacks is important in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous analytical environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

Base compensation ranges from $27.50 to $30.50 per hour. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

Nonexempt employees are eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a given week, or as otherwise required by applicable state law.
