Associate Marketing Manager
The Associate Marketing Manager plays a key role in executing and optimizing an always-on, Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Customer (B2C) marketing strategy that raises awareness of Manulife Investments business offerings. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end marketing initiatives, leading the marketing intake process, and driving efficiency through strong project management and cross-functional collaboration. The role also contributes to campaign planning, performance analysis, and continuous improvement of marketing programs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of marketers, including managing performance, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment
- Provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior marketers to drive high-quality, data-driven campaign execution aligned with business and brand objectives.
- Own and manage timely execution and delivery of multiple marketing projects in a fast-faced environment
- Lead the marketing intake process, including prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and workflow optimization
- Maintain and optimize marketing collateral and related digital information on our Retail Investment websites, social media, and internal collaborative platforms
- Partner with Sales, Compliance, and internal stakeholders to develop and refine marketing materials and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Manage and enhance sales tools and presentation decks
- Execute on deliverables to support sponsorships and events
- Analyze campaign and digital performance data, providing insights and recommendations to improve effectiveness
- Contribute to the formulation of timely reports with relevant analysis based on data from various sources, including digital marketing campaigns
- Identify process improvements and drive enhancements to marketing workflow and tools
- Administrative tasks as required
- Provide guidance to new hires and junior team members
Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is an asset.
- 3-5 years’ work experience in a marketing function, or related field
- Excellent communications skills with strong ability to create, compose and edit written materials that are impactful and compelling
- Skilled in MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, and other content management systems
- Knowledge of Seismic, DOMO Analytics, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is an asset
- Basic to advance design skills, content writing, and familiarity with LinkedIn for business is a plus
- Strong project management skills with the ability to pull content from multiple sources and keep on top of ever-changing deliverables within required timelines
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface and work effectively with a wide range of people
- Hands-on and proactive; able to work with minimal supervision
- Career oriented with a demonstrated track record of success and drive to succeed
- Results-oriented and execution-focused within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide direction to agency and internal partners
- Ability to respond to multiple demands and prioritize work activities within required deadlines for time sensitive projects, while adhering to records management processes and governance
- Self-motivated while being able to take direction well
- Ability to blend confidence with diplomacy, liaising directly with colleagues throughout the organization to get what’s needed to get the job done
- Adaptive to change, both on a micro scale in terms of conflicting project requests and priorities as well as larger scale changes in an ever-shifting industry landscape
