Title: Associate Production Engineer

Department: Engineering / Quality Assurance

Location: Aachen, Germany (Hybrid work model)

Working Hours: 50% in the beginning

Position Overview

As a Associate Production Engineer for Keyfactor, you are responsible for making quality checks, deploy / test software, and for shipments of Keyfactor’s hardware solutions. You make sure that all hardware is produced within defined time frames and according to our high-quality standards. You make sure that all processes are well documented and up to date, and you cooperate with multiple internal stakeholders to get the hardware shipped in time to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hardware Production - Independently execute and monitor hardware manufacturing processes, including quality checks, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
  • Technical Documentation - Create and maintain production instructions, test procedures, product documentation, and technical records.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting - Prepare evaluations, production metrics, and technical reports for internal teams and management.
  • Assembly & Logistics Coordination - Oversee assembly and packaging activities and collaborate closely with logistics, procurement, and engineering.
  • Process Improvement - Identify inefficiencies and contribute to the development of improved production standards.

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Skills

  • Technical Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, production engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware production, ideally with hands‑on experience in manufacturing, assembly, or quality assurance.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Independent, reliable, and structured work style, paired with strong motivation and ownership.
  • Very good German and English skills, written and spoken.
  • Experience with ERP systems to manage our inventory and workflow.
  • Basic scripting skills for data automation or data processing

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
