Associate Project Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performing survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.

• Executing electrical schematic drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) for Motor Control Center (MCC) projects following established engineering standards and customer specifications.

• Exercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables.

• Assisting in technical clarifications related to MCC configurations, interacting with project managers, manufacturing teams, and external contacts within your scope of deliverables.

• Coordinating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, project management, and quality to ensure accurate and timely order release.

• Identifying and reporting engineering discrepancies or system issues through established tools and processes to support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Supporting in communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.

• Participating in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor´s Degree in automation, mechatronic or electrical engineering.

• 1+ years of experience similar roles in similar positions as electrical project engineer & automation project engineer.

• Experience in electrical software as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, Windchill & CREO.

• Experience in Electrical Power Distribution Systems & Metal sheet Manufacturing.

• Understanding of power systems, such as low-voltage technology, Motor Control Centers (MCC), power system analysis, and protection relay.

• Project management skills.

• Demonstrated ability in analyzing and solving problems.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Advanced English level.
