Athletic Training Coordinator-Part Time
Greater Regional has a part time opportunity for a Certified Athletic Trainer who will provide services to area secondary schools. The essential duties of the trainer will include: injury assessment, emergency care, treatment, rehabilitation, referral, and preventative care for athletic injuries, with documentation of injury to include the plan of care until resolution/return to activity. Effective communication to all members of the athletes care team is essential. Moreover, maintaining a close professional relationship with providers and staff at Greater Regional Health is key to providing exceptional medical care with the focus on a safe return to activities. Must be board certified and have current Iowa licensure, and current CPR/First Aid.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all district health and safety policies
- Comply with local, state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
- Maintain good public relations
- Frequently update Greater Regional Health Athletic Trainer Director during the season regarding any issues, concerns, highlights, or events
- Demonstrates professionalism, exhibits a professional attitude, and models appropriate behavior
- Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Greater Regional Health Athletic Trainer Director
Competencies Required:
- Perform skin fold measurements for body fat testing
- Administer the SCAT 5 neurocognitive evaluation tool
- Ability to use the vacuum immobilizer splints
