Audiologist (42509)
Under general supervision of the Dilkon Deputy Chief Medical Officer the Audiologist will be responsible for establishing and running an audiology program at the Dilkon Medical Center. This includes assessing community needs, developing clinical protocols, providing comprehensive audiological services, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Upholds the principles of WIHCC’s Vision, Mission, and Value Statements. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices for audiological services.
- Provide screening and diagnostic evaluations of hearing disorders.
- Documents within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and charting accurately reflects data gathered, plan of care, and patient response.
- Counsel patient and families on hearing loss, communication strategies, and hearing aid use.
- Implements treatment plans and evaluates patient’s response to treatment as appropriate.
- Collaborate with health care providers & professionals to provide coordinated care for patients. When appropriate work with providers to refer patient to outside care and services.
- Maintain standards in the department consistent with best practices and advancements in audiology.
- Serves as a resource to health professionals in other departments and within the community regarding audiological topics.
- Fit and dispense hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- In conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer develop a budget for the audiology department.
- Participate in community outreach, screenings, and educational programs
- Requires completion of tasks or duties assigned by a supervisor.
