We are seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented Australia Payroll Specialist to join our growing payroll team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, compliance requirements, and payroll processing. This is a fully remote role requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to work during Australian business hours.

Requirements<\/h3>

Key Responsibilities<\/span>

  • Process end\-to\-end payroll for Australian employees on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis.
    <\/li>
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and within strict deadlines.
    <\/li>
  • Maintain compliance with Australian payroll legislation, Fair Work requirements, Superannuation, PAYG, STP reporting, and relevant Awards/EBAs.
    <\/li>
  • Calculate and process salaries, wages, overtime, allowances, tips, bonuses, leave entitlements, and termination payments.
    <\/li>
  • Manage payroll reconciliations and reporting.
    <\/li>
  • Handle employee payroll queries professionally and promptly.
    <\/li>
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of employee payroll records.
    <\/li>
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and clients regarding payroll\-related matters.
    <\/li>
  • Support payroll audits and compliance reviews.
    <\/li>
  • Stay updated with changes in Australian payroll legislation and industry best practices.

    Required Skills & Qualifications<\/span>

    • Minimum 4 years of hands\-on experience processing Australian payroll.
      <\/li>
    • Strong understanding of:
      • Fair Work legislation
        <\/li>
      • Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
        <\/li>
      • Superannuation
        <\/li>
      • PAYG withholding
        <\/li>
      • Single Touch Payroll (STP)
        <\/li>
      • Leave calculations and termination processing
        <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
      • Experience using payroll software such as Employment Hero Payroll, Xero Payroll, MYOB, or similar platforms.
        <\/li>
      • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
        <\/li>
      • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
        <\/li>
      • Ability to manage multiple payrolls and meet deadlines.
        <\/li>
      • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
